All Bids will be conducted at 2:00 p.m. Eastern Standard Time the Department of Public Purchases' Conference Room in City Hall.

The Department of Public Purchases will conduct Bid Openings on just about any Thursday of the month. There are lead times associated with public advertisements and the processing of Bid Applications. Anyone seeking a Bid Opening should contact the Department of Public Purchases for the appropriate bid application submission date that will result in a specific Bid Opening date being assigned.

Important information for 2011

The City of Bridgeport uses the BIDSYNC web site for most of its bidding activity. Interested parties should review the web site for bid announcements involving the City of Bridgeport.

Contract Review:

If your bid will result in a written contract between the City and the supplier, a copy of the proposed contract must become part of the bidding documents. This contract must be reviewed and approved by the Office of the City Attorney and only then can it become part of the Bid packet you submit to Purchasing. These documents all need to be submitted to Purchasing prior to the complete Bid being posted to the City and State Websites.

Contract Compliance:

If your solicitation has a labor component we strongly urge you to contact Dennis Scinto, contract compliance officer at 203-576-8227 to ensure that when you submit your specifications to Purchasing they contain the applicable prevailing wage information.

Construction Management Services:

All solicitations for the City's Division of Construction Management Services will be conducted at the Purchasing Department, Rm. 324 at 45 Lyon Terrace. They will take place on the Wednesday's during any given month.
