The City of Bridgeport’s SINGLE STREAM RECYCLING PROGRAM is an important component Bridgeport's efforts to improve our environment and lower the costs of refuse.

The City has shifted from traditional recycling to the easy and convenient single stream program. This means you no longer will need to separate your recycling.

Thanks to your efforts, recycling is up 51% in September, due to RecycleBank/Single Stream efforts! Thank you!

The Recyclebank program rewards points to households that recycle responsibly. You can redeem your points for rewards such as groceries, apparel, gift cards and more at local businesses across Bridgeport and at national retailers that are affiliated with the program. On average, households can earn up to $200 in reward value through annual recycling efforts.

Remember your recycling is picked up every other week, on the same day as trash collection. We will include an information packet in your recycling cart which explains when and what you should recycle.
