The Boston Avenue/Mill Hill neighborhood is located on the eastern border of Bridgeport and is bounded by the Town of Stratford to the east, Lake Success Business Park (also known as Remington Woods) to the north, Seaview Avenue to the west and Barnum Avenue to the south.

Although largely residential, Boston Avenue/Mill Hill is known for its medical and educational institutions, including Bridgeport Hospital and numerous doctors’ offices.

These institutions have a significant impact on employment in the neighborhood, with 74 percent of residents employed in health and education services. The average salary of Boston Avenue/Mill Hill residents working in this industry was $53,114 in 1999, just above the neighborhood average, but more than 18 percent higher than all citywide wages for the sector.
