About the Port Authority Commision

The Port Authority Commission is responsible for establishing long-term strategies for port district, and create policies to guide the development, growth, and operations of the port.

  • Established in 1992
  • Mayor appoints three commissioners for a term of three years
  • Members serve until a successor is appointed and has qualified.
  • Requires City Council approval
