Ruben Felipe served as a mayoral aide from July 2004 to November of 2007. He previously worked as the program manager for the H.U.D.-funded Community Outreach Partnership Center at Housatonic Community College, and began his career in public service as a community organizer in Bridgeport. He works closely with Local faith-based, business, and community groups. Mr. Felipe also serves on the executive board of the Workplace Inc.

As Deputy Chief of Staff, Mr. Felipe is a second point of contact for the Mayor’s office and helps ensure that the Mayor’s office runs efficiently. He also focuses on community and public safety issues as well as other special projects.
