The Farmers Market located in the parking lot of the Health Department, 752 East Main Street, is open Wednesdays  from 9:30 a.m. – 2:00 p.m.

 

They have the following produce directly from the farm to you (and subsequently, your belly!)

 

·         Green beans, corn on the cob, cucumbers, chard, fava beans, zucchini, squash, cabbage, beets, collard greens, and peaches! Are you getting hungry yet?

Tuesdays, 10 a.m. - 6 p.m.

What is WIC?

The WIC Program provides services in the area of Nutrition to women who are prenatal and postpartum and infants and children up to 5 years old. For more information about WIC eligibility, visit the Social Services page of the City Website.  

 

What is FMNP?

The Connecticut Farmers’ Market Nutrition Program (FMNP) is a congressionally authorized program administered by the Connecticut Department of Agriculture and jointly funded by the State of Connecticut and the United States Department of Agriculture, Food and Nutrition Service (USDA-FNS).  More information is available from the Connecticut Department of Agriculture.
