The International Association of Chiefs of Police (the IACP), in collaboration with the Office of the Civil Service Commission, is spearheading a process to develop an examination for the position of the Chief of Police for the Bridgeport Police Department.
We seek a Chief of Police who sees this job as an opportunity to enhance the quality of life of all Bridgeport citizens and considers our community members as partners.
Our community is our most important stakeholder to hiring a new Chief of Police and we value every person's contribution to this process.
