Mission Statement

The mission of the Tax Collector is to collect all tax revenue due to the City in accordance with Connecticut State Statutes and to provide the taxpayers of the City with information and assistance in a prompt and courteous manner. This office is responsible for the billing and collection of all Real Estate, Personal Property, Motor Vehicle Taxes, and related penalty charges. To save time, please consult our Frequently Asked Questions.

Pay by Phone

CREDIT AND DEBIT CARDS ARE NOW ACCEPTED IN THE OFFICE AND ONLINE. A FEE WILL BE CHARGED FOR USE OF A CREDIT OR DEBIT CARD

No Online Payments will be accepted If Vehicle Has Been Booted

Delinquent Tax Bills:

Payments may be made in person, by mail, or online; however, you must come into the office if you have to register a vehicle. Delinquent taxes are not accepted at M&T Bank.
