Greetings! As the commission for people with disabilities, we're passionate about making a difference in our community! Our primary purpose is to advise the mayor and the director of health and social services, and we can request studies and information from various agencies to better understand the needs of individuals with disabilities in our area. We're dedicated to helping everyone have access to essential services like housing, employment, transportation, economics, health, and recreation.
We're excited to make recommendations to the mayor, city administrators, commissions, boards, and departments. Plus, we'll forward any suggestions we make to the department of health and social services. We can even request an analysis of current services provided by public and private agencies, and based on those results, we'll make appropriate recommendations.
We're committed to reviewing the city's proposed budget and resource allocations that may impact services for people with disabilities. We want to ensure that everyone receives the help they need. Let's work together to make our community more inclusive and accessible!
