Campaign to Highlight Development Projects, summer Entertainment, Local Business, and Recreational Activities

Bridgeport, CT— The City of Bridgeport is proud to announce a three part marketing campaign, “Bridgeport a New Buzz, a New Beat,” that will highlight the city’s economic development, a waterfront destination for summer entertainment, local restaurants and businesses, boast education institutions, as well as feature its treasured parks and recreational activities.

The campaign will feature audio and videos of Bridgeport that will be viewed on various digital and social media platforms, as well as television and radio. The three-part series of advertisements will launch Part 1 “A New Buzz, a New Beat,” tomorrow, to promote city development projects and headlining summer entertainment. Part 2 of the campaign featuring the “Best of Bridgeport” will follow at the end of the summer to showcase local businesses, arts, and restaurants. The “Best of Bridgeport” Part 3 will kick off the Spring 2023 marketing campaign with the city’s public parks and outdoor recreation like the Beardsley Zoo and Fairchild Wheeler Golf Course.

The goal of the campaign is to draw visitors from the region while energizing the city’s economic assets. City officials believe they will accomplish this by illustrating the premier entertainment scheduled for this summer, waterfront development, as well as the wide array of local arts, restaurants and businesses, and the many visitor-friendly outdoor attractions.

"Our city has seen a lot of development and growth, with premier events staged at the Amphitheater, new music festivals at our parks, and local venues. Bridgeport has truly become Connecticut's mecca for music and entertainment," Mayor Ganim stated. "There is truly something for everyone in Bridgeport. It's the location for visitors to watch live concerts or attending art exhibits after dining at local restaurants; I hope locals from the surrounding area enjoy their next visit to the Park City."
