The City of Bridgeport announces the start of the 2025 Christmas Tree and Wreath Collection Program, commencing on January 6, 2025 and ending on February 28, 2025.  Christmas trees are wreaths collected will be turned into mulch to beautify the 48 parks and City-owned buildings throughout Bridgeport.

Preparing Christmas trees and wreaths for Collection:

• Remove all lights, ornaments and tinsel.
• Remove stands from trees and metal frames and wires from wreaths.
• Do NOT wrap trees or wreaths in tape or 
• Do NOT place trees or wreaths in a plastic bag.
• Place Christmas trees and wreaths at the curb.

CHRISTMAS TREE AND WREATH COLLECTION GUIDELINES:

Place trees and wreaths curbside by 6:00 a.m. on your scheduled Recycling Day. Please do not put trees outside days prior as they can be buried by snow or blown into streets causing a safety hazard.

All trees must be free of decorations, lights, and plastic bags.  Artificial trees will not be picked up.

Artificial trees and wreaths can be taken to the Transfer Station located at 475 Asylum Street Bridgeport, CT 06610.
