Below is a list of important dates to remember for the March 3, 2026 local Primary. 

February 13, 2026 Primary enrollment session
February 13, 2026  Registration deadline.
February 17, 2026 Primary enrollment session
March 3, 2026 Town Committee Primary
February 10, 2026 Absentee Ballots. Printed absentee ballots for the primary become available to electors on this day.
February 13, 2026 Notice of 18th Day Before Town Committee Primary Registration Session. Notice of February 13, 2026, session of the Registrars of Voters open enrollment for two consecutive hours between 5:00 p.m. - 7:00 p.m..
February 13, 2026 Registration and Enrollment Cut-off (Mail in) Town Committee Primaries  Deadline for registering and / or enrolling for voting in town committee primaries, unless the individual registers in person with the municipal clerk or the registrar .(Sec. 9-23g(d)(2))
Mail in application for new voters must be received by the registrar of voters of the town of resident by this day except that a mail in application of a new voter postmarked by this day,  or an application that is received by the DMV or VRA by this day may be received by the registrar of voters until 12:00 noon on March 2, 2026.(Sec. 9-23g(c)(iv) and (d)))
An application for the party enrollment by an unaffiliated voter must be received by this day,  unless the unaffiliated voter files an application for enrollment in person with the registrars of voters by 12:00 noon on March 2, 2026. (9-56)
February 17, 2026  Primary Enrollment Session Town Committee. If a primary is to be held mandatory enrollment session must be held on this date 14th day before primary for registration and / or enrollment of electors entitled to vote in the town committee primary.  At least two consecutive hours between the hours of 12:00 noon - 9:00 p.m. (9-51)
March 2, 2026 at 12:00 noon Registration by Mail - Town Committee Primaries.  Deadline for Registrar to receive a mail-in application, postmarked by February 13, 2026(the eighteenth day before the primary), so the application may be enrolled in time to vote in the town committee primary.(9-23a, 9-23g (c) and (d))
March 3, 2026 Primary Day - hours from 6:00 a.m. - 8:00 p.m.
  There will be no Early Voting for this Primary.
