The City of Bridgeport is kicking off the spring season with a renewed commitment to cleaner streets through the launch of its Clean Sweep Project. The initiative, led by the City’s Public Facilities Department, Roadway Division, will focus on clearing debris and improving conditions along major roadways throughout the city.

Work will begin with a systematic sweep of all main roads, enhancing safety, appearance, and the overall quality of life for residents. To support the effort, alternative-side parking regulations will be strictly enforced during scheduled cleaning periods.

City officials note that, to reduce disruption, crews will clean roads in sections rather than all at once. Residents are encouraged to stay informed about posted schedules and comply with parking rules to ensure the project runs smoothly.

The Clean Sweep reflects Bridgeport’s broader goal of maintaining a cleaner, more welcoming environment as the community heads into the spring season.

Below is the Sweeper Schedule to reference for locations throughout the week.
