Flu cases are on the rise, it is not too late to protect yourself and your loved ones! The Bridgeport Department of Health and Social Services along with the Family Health and Wellness Clinic are offering flu clinics open to the public. 

Pre-K Parents: Vaccine Deadline Reminder

If your little one is in Pre-K, they have a required deadline of December 31st, 2025 to get their annual flu shot.

Our next flu clinics are the perfect chance to get the whole family (ages 3+) vaccinated. Just bring Bring ID & Insurance Card if applicable. No appointment required.

Key Ways to Protect Yourself against the flu

Getting your annual flu shot is the most powerful way to prevent the flu and its complications. You can add extra layers of protection by washing your hands often, covering your coughs, and keeping your distance from anyone who is sick. Additionally, improving indoor air quality and avoiding touching your eyes, nose, or mouth will help stop the spread of germs.

If you are sick, stay home to prevent infecting others. Cover your mouth and nose when you cough or sneeze. Wash your hands often with soap and water or use an alcohol-based hand sanitizer. Avoid touching your face, as germs can easily spread this way. Improve air quality by opening windows, using air purifiers, or spending time outdoors.
