The Inland Wetlands & Watercourses Agency (IWWA) is responsible for the protection, preservation, maintenance and use of the inland wetlands and watercourses by minimizing their disturbance, maintaining & improving water quality, preventing loss off fish, wildlife and any other aquatic organisms, and preventing damage from erosion by providing an orderly process to balance the need for the economic growth of the state and the city of Bridgeport, and the use of its land with the need to protect its environment and ecology in order to guarantee the safety of such natural resources to the people of the city of Bridgeport and state of Connecticut.
Meetings are held at 6 p.m. on the last Monday of every month in the City Council Chambers of Bridgeport City Hall, 45 Lyon Terrace, as needed. Meeting dates and times are subject to change.
