Taxes are due on January 1, payable by February 1. You have a one month “grace” period in which to pay without penalty. If February 1 falls on a Saturday or Sunday, you will have until that Monday in which to pay, in person or by mail. 

During January you may pay current bills at M & T Bank (Fairfield County only). No account needed. Yellow bills indicate back taxes and will not be accepted.

The City of Bridgeport FY2023-2024 mill rate be and herby is, set at 43.45 mills for real estate and personal property and 32.46 mills for motor vehicles.

The City of Bridgeport Tax Collector Office will have extended hours January 25 thru February 1 from 8:00am to 4:00pm.  Saturday January 27, 2024 office hours are 10:00am to 3:00pm
