The City of Bridgeport Harbor Commission meets the first and third Tuesday of each month except for July, August and December when they meet only on the first Tuesday. Meeting schedules may change due to holidays or other schedule conflicts.

About the Harbor Commission

Harbor Commission: Responsible for overseeing the operations of the Bridgeport Harbor.  Responsibilities include conduct studies on the condition of the harbor, enforce, update, and implement the harbor management plan.  They work with the public, private and other organizations that provide service or other facilities based on the harbor. 

  • Seven members, including rep from Planning and Zoning Commission, and two alternates (9 total)
  • Terms of four years
  • Appointments made by Mayor and approved by City Council
  • No more than five of the same political party
  • Members serve until a successor is appointed and has qualified.
