The City of Bridgeport Celebrates PURA’s Decision to Deny the Sale of Aquarion Water Company
Municipal and Regional leaders from across southwestern Connecticut today celebrate the Public Utilities Regulatory Authority’s (PURA) decision to deny the sale of Aquarion Water Company from Eversource to a new public authority, the Aquarion Water Authority (AWA), which would operate alongside the South-Central Connecticut Regional Water Authority (RWA).

The City of Bridgeport, the Town of Fairfield, and State Lawmakers Urge Siting Council to Delay or Deny United Illuminating Monopole Project
The City of Bridgeport and the Town of Fairfield, together with members of their state legislative delegations, have formally called on the Connecticut Siting Council (CSC) to delay or deny United Illuminating’s Application under Docket 516R, citing significant adverse impacts that would result from the proposed overhead transmission line project, and identifying serious procedural concerns with the proceedings before the Connecticut Siting Council.
