The Bridgeport Youth Ambassador Program is designed for sophomores, juniors and seniors to provide an overview of city and state government. This will be accomplished through 12 weeks of workshops and tours to various city departments, council, and committee meetings. Participants will meet professionals in civil service careers and learn about department responsibilities to the residents of Bridgeport. They will experience first-hand the valuable role city government officials at the local and state level play in representing their respective constituents and bringing about positive change.

Requirements & Expectations: Participants must be Bridgeport residents who are in their Sophomore, Junior, or Senior year of high school. Out of school youth are also eligible to apply but must be 16 years of age or older.

Selection Process: Once an application is received, a brief interview will be conducted to ensure both the applicant and the program coordinator feel confident in the applicant’s ability to fulfill the program expectations.
