Survivor's Benefits/ Widow's Pension Fund
On behalf of Chief Roderick Porter, the Honorable Board of Police Commissioners, and the entire Bridgeport Police Department, we would like to extend our sincerest condolences to you and your family on the loss of your loved one.
Please see the (2) two documents below; each are required by the Department in order for you to apply for widow’s benefits. These forms need to be completed in triplicate, notarized, and returned to the Bridgeport Police Department along with a certified death certificate. Please return these documents to the Bridgeport Police Department, Attn: Administrative Lieutenant Stacey Lyons, 300 Congress Street Bridgeport Ct, 06604.
Please see the list provided below of fraternal organizations to which your loved one may have belonged. The benefits of these organizations, as well as contact names and phone numbers are provided below. For Police Association Of Connecticut benefits they must be an active member of the Bridgeport Police Department to be eligible. No benefits to retired officers.
