  • Drain Cleaners
  • Oil-Based Paint
  • Floor Care Products
  • Paint Stripper/Thinners
  • Oven Cleaners
  • Cleaning Solvents
  • Polishers
  • Brake/Transmission Fluid
  • Spot & Stain Removers
  • Turpentine
  • Wood Preservatives
  • Adhesives
  • Artist's Paints
  • Charcoal Lighter Fluid
  • Epoxy Products
  • Fungicides
  • Herbicides/Insecticides
  • Kerosene
  • Moth Balls

WHAT NOT TO BRING:

  • Ammunition/ Explosives/ Fire Extinguishers/ Flares - Call your local Police/Fire Department
  • Tires - Call public facilities for disposal instructions
  • Biological Waste - Hire a contractor for disposal
  • Needles/ Syringes - Put in a Sharps Container or heavy plastic container or coffee can and then regular trash
  • Medicine/ Drugs - Call your local hospital/clinic

Please Note: The transfer station does not accept items containing hazardous waste. The transfer station does accept Waste Oil and Antifreeze at the discretion of the Weigh Master. The State of Connecticut Department of Environmental Protection (DEEP) maintains a list of Municipal Hazardous Waste Collection Day dates.
