The City of Bridgeport Department of Health & Social Services, following guidance and direction provided by the Centers for Disease Control (CDC), the State of CT and the Office of Emergency Management, is working with our community partners to safeguard our residents and workers against COVID-19. The Bridgeport Department of Health provides education and outreach to our community so that we can vaccinate all eligible residents, especially our most vulnerable peoples.

Eligible groups, based on recommendations from the Advisory Committee on Immunization Practices (ACIP) and the Governor's vaccine advisory group are:
Children and Teens ages 12 to 17: At this time, only the Pfizer vaccine has been authorized by the Food and Drug Administration (FDA) for use in children ages 16 and older. Ages 12-15 years old are under EUA approval only.
Residents 16 and Older: Residents in the State of Connecticut who are 16+. Residents 16 and 17 can receive the Pfizer, Moderna, or Johnson & Johnson Vaccines. Residents 18+ can only receive the Moderna or Johnson & Johnson Vaccines.
Employees 16 and Older: Employees who work in the State of Connecticut who are 16+. Employees 16 and 17 can receive the Pfizer, Moderna, or Johnson & Johnson Vaccines. Employees 18+ can only receive the Moderna or Johnson & Johnson Vaccines. Employees working remotely who reside outside of Connecticut should receive vaccine in their home states.
Students 16 and Older: Students attending school in-person in the State of Connecticut who are 16+. Students16 and 17 can receive the Pfizer, Moderna, or Johnson & Johnson Vaccines. Students18+ can only receive the Moderna or Johnson & Johnson Vaccines. Students attending school remotely who reside outside of Connecticut should receive vaccine in their home states.
