Mission Statement
Our mission is to provide information on issues, rights, and programs for persons with any disability, their families and the community. The office empowers people to advocate for them self, to assist with direct advocacy support, when necessary.
Objective
Our objective is to provide advocacy/protective safeguards and services for persons with disabilities to help insure their rights are protected and to prevent abuse, neglect and /or exploitation. To provide community outreach and education to community groups, agency personnel and disability support groups.
The city is committed to ensure that its facilities are accessible. The ultimately goal is to achieve full inclusion for persons with disabilities to all programs, services, and activities offered by the City of Bridgeport.
