Councilmember Maria Ines Valle was born and raised in Puerto Rico and moved to Bridgeport at a young age. Valle holds an associate’s degree in human services from Springfield College. She advocates for public safety, affordable housing, and economic development in the city. Valle is the Site Coordinator for the East Side Senior Center and works to coordinate activities and services for the seniors to promote health and social inclusion. She is a devoted member of the Blessed Sacrament Church and sits on their fundraiser board.
