Born in Puerto Rico and raised in Bridgeport since the age of three, Councilmember Keyla Medina is a proud product of the Bridgeport Public School system. Medina graduated from Bassick High School as a member of the National Honor Society, and is committed to education, community, and social justice. She believes in standing up for people, especially in communities that are too often overlooked. Medina and her husband have three daughters, all graduates of Bridgeport Public Schools. Medina earned her Associate’s degree in Business from Housatonic Community College and her Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration from the University of Bridgeport. Medina is currently pursuing a dual Master’s degree in Data Analytics and Human Resource Management.
